I couldn ' t quite take my manager seriously when I was told that a BA degree online would be a good thing for my job. I already knew how to do my job, surely? It seemed like a lot of effort just for a bit of paper. In fact it was a great idea, because my professional outlook has improved and my skills and knowledge base have increased.
Once I realised I didn ' t actually have to go to a college, so no stressful travelling and wasting time there, and my employers would pay for it, and it could all be done via an online college, I enrolled.
The technology was easy to work out. My basic computer skills were enough to ensure I had access to a range of learning tools and resources. Three weeks into my online bachelors degree and not only was I enjoying the course, but I was also finding I was enjoying my job more, applying what I was learning on the course to aspects of my professional work.
